The 5 Benefits of Real Estate Professional Photography

In the revolution of the digital world, we have witnessed many changes. One of these changes is that we have become more attached to our digital devices. As a result of this, failing to adapt to the digital world can have a negative impact on many industries--in specific, real estate. This said, let’s take a look at five benefits agents face when they simply hire a real estate photographer to boost their marketing presence across digital media platforms.

1. You can sell your listings for 3,000 to 11,000 more.

Whether you are paying $1 for a professional photographer or $2,000, the bottom line is that the return on investment is substantial. This is all because consumers naturally put a value on things through judgment. For example, consumers would pay more for a T-shirt that looks nice over a T-shirt that does not look nice (obviously) even though the T-shirt cost the exact same to manufacture.

2. You can get more views on your listings and therefore, sell them faster.

Since professional photographers know how to catch the eye of prospecting buyers, your listings become more attractive online. As a result, more prospecting buyers are more likely to view the listing online and follow through with an open house and even a closing deal! Woohoo!

3. You can up your marketing game and bring in more prospecting clients.

Not only can a professional real estate photographer help sell your listing for a heavier price tag and help it moves faster on the market, but hiring a professional photographer can also  bring in more prospecting clients as your portfolio will look polished and well put together--indicating that you know what you’re doing and you do it well. After all, good marketing is all about perception.

4. You can learn more about what makes a home more attractive to buyers.

By viewing and getting used to how a professional photographer works and seeing which properties displayed in which ways can sell a listing faster and for more, you will start to recognize what looks good in professional photography and what does not look good in professional photography. By learning more about what makes a listing more attractive and what doesn’t, you can start to understand your consumers and market to them better. By doing so, this will result in more prospecting buyers and less time listings are spent on the market.

5. You can stay in the race with your competitors.

In the digital age, prospecting buyers tend to research online before even before contacting an agent or attending an open house. This is because consumers find it safe and worth the investment to do some research on their own since no one knows what they like better than themselves. This being said, if you do not stay on top of your game online, your competitors will always come in the first place. Therefore, stay in the race with your competitors and market yourself strongly online with professional real estate photography.

With these 5 benefits of professional photography, you may be thinking about your next steps and where to find a good one. That said, do not worry, we did the hard part for you and created a comparison matrix (along with descriptions) for many professional real estate photography services in Seattle to help you with your decision. Happy professional real estate photographer hunting!

Roomvu has the mission and vision of improving the world of real estate with fringe technologies. With over 1,800 agents and service that covers most of Canada, Roomvu offers a great price od $99 for 20 HDR photos no matter the square footage. Roomvu even offers a speedy guaranteed turnaround time of 24 hours and provides agents with a free complimentary slideshow with any photo service. Unlike other photography services, Roomvu offers the best price for photography services across Canada.

With services in Seattle, WA, HD Estates offers their basic photography package starting at $199 for 5-15 photographs. In addition, HD Estates offers HDR photography.  However, HD Estates does not specify if they have a turnaround time nor do they offer complementary services like many of their competitors in professional real estate photography. For among the competitors that show flat rates, HD Estates is among one of the least expensive, but not in comparison with Roomvu’s price of $99.99 for 20 photographs and many additional services included.

Open Homes Photography offers photography prices starting at $250 on listings less than 1,000 square feet (pricing increases with square feet). With services in the San Francisco and California area, Open Homes Photography, unfortunately, categorizes as one the of most expensive on our competitor list for their photography package as the offer the least about of benefits such as no HDR photography, no turnaround times stated, no complimentary service offered and the least amount of square feet for photography.

With a basic professional real estate photography package starting at $250 for up to 40 professional high-quality real estate photography, Jesse L. Young specializes in photography in the Seattle area delivering photographs within a 24 hour turnaround time. However, unlike competitors, Jesse L. Young does not specify if they offer HDR photography which can be a disadvantage in terms of quality and also does not offer any complimentary services like Roomvu, Struxture, Portland Picture, and Curb Appeal Photo.

At Struxture, Carl Bruce IV and photographer Jeremey Fudge are a team of DC luxury real estate and architectural photographers who offer their basic photography package starting at $250 for 25 professional real estate photos. With services almost identical to Jesse L. Young, Struxture offers a better deal with 15 more photos than Jesse L. Young for only $25 more. However, instead of a 24 hour turnaround time, Struxture offers a 48 hour turnaround time and a complimentary service of a single page property website. And additionally, Struxture offers wider-range of locations such as Washington and North Virginia.

With the price of $175 on listings less than 4,000 square feet, Portland Picture offers professional real estate photography in Portland, Oregon. In addition, they offer many other services for an additional add-on fee of $50 which include: a detailed property description, Google maps, agent contact forms, matterport 3D virtual tours and/or aerial videos. However, Portland Picture does specify if they offer HDR photography nor a guaranteed turnaround time and additional contact is required for those who want to know how many photographs are offered in their basic photography package.

With over 14 years of experience, Curb Appeal Photo offers their basic photography starting at $175 for 25 photos on listings less than 1,200 square feet. In addition, their area circumference covers all of Seattle with no extra fees other than the ferry (which is fantastic as most competitors charge for travel). Curb Appeal Photo also offers a complimentary package of free MLS optimized resizing and editing. But in comparison to competitors, Curb Appeal Photo does not specify if they offer HDR photography or a decent turnaround time unlike Roomvu, and Vicaso.

At Vicaso, they offer their basic photography package starting at $99 + $10/photograph. What this means is that agents will be paying a flat rate of $99 upfront plus, $10 extra for every photograph. Although the $99 looks like a great price, the price really racks up when photographs are chosen for print. Considering agents at least choose 10 photographs, at Vicaso, agents will be looking at $200 for 10 photography which is quite pricey in comparison to competitors. Although Vicaso offers HDR photography and a 24 hour turnaround time, Vicaso also does not offer any complimentary services in comparison to Roomvu, Struxture, Portland Picture, and Curb Appeal Photo.

At Snappr, they offer their basic real estate photography package starting at $99 in San Francisco. However, they do not specify how many photographs are available in their photography package which means further contact is required. However, be cautious as $99 does look like a good price, but may not be worth it for the number of photographs they provide. Additionally, as mentioned, $99 is a good price, but Snapper also doesn't have HDR photography nor a 24 hour turnaround time. Instead, they offer a 48 hour turnaround time.

At Walkin Photography, they offer real estate photography at  $210 for listings less than 1,000sq. For 5-10 photographs, agents can expect, a 24 hour turnaround time in  San Francisco. But Walkin Photography is a higher price for services as they do not offer HDR photography, a complimentary service or near the number of photographs that competitors offer.
